Dear Ministry Partner,
I want to share with you a funny story. At this baptism in Bangladesh that you see on the front cover, I had trouble with the first person I was baptizing. He was an older man who had a look of uncertainty in his eyes.
I spoke the words, “Pita, Putro, Pabitiro Ata” or “Father, Son, Holy Spirit” in the Bengali language. Then I tried to dunk him. He didn’t budge. I tried again, and he looked at me with a confused and somewhat fearful look. After one more attempt and with the gentle coaxing of one of the other pastors in the water, he finally went under. Praise the Lord!
This man was one of the first of 500 new converts that day to make a public profession of faith. This baptism service is just the beginning of what we believe will be many more special days through our new partnership in Bangladesh. And it is because of your partnership that we get to be a part of special occasions like this – with hopefully many more to come in the days ahead. God bless you.
In His service,
Joseph Williams, CEO
