The Gospel is being Proclaimed

Last week marked six months since the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti on January 13. The U.S. media had plenty of reports on how challenging the relief and aid distribution is in Haiti. At every glance, there were stories about how supplies are sitting and relief workers are frustrated. But that has not been NDI’s experience. Because of our deep network of relationships built up over 30 years of ministry in Haiti, the gospel is being proclaimed and people’s suffering are being relieved.

NDI quickly noticed how ripe the nation of Haiti was to hear the good news of the gospel in the aftermath of the earthquake. In the midst of people’s hurt, they were asking questions of eternal importance and facing profound emotions that could only be addressed with the hope existent thorough Jesus Christ.

Through the generous outpouring of NDI supporters, eager evangelists have been resourced to proclaim the gospel boldly and compassionately. Your contributions have provided Eangecubes which tell the story of the gospel in picture form, helped to supply kits to show the Jesus film in communities, and delivered audio Bible devices for families to listen to at night in their tents. Our pastors have also inspired other church leaders to actively share their faith from tent to tent. We are thankful for the fruit God is yielding in people repenting from their sins and trusting in Christ!

Our Feed the Hunger programs have also restarted which is providing much needed consistency and hope for now over 2,700 children. Some of these programs are meeting under very different and adverse circumstances. The children are still coming thanks to the life and hope your support supplies to them through the many Feed the Hunger programs conducted in partnership with local churches in Haiti. The children are learning in a Christ centered environment and receiving a nutritious meal each day.

I invite you to view 10 pictures in this slideshow that show what your support is continuing to make possible in Haiti.

If you would like to give to continue the efforts in Haiti you can do so here by selecting either Leadership Training or Feed the Hunger.

Thanks for your partnership and know that God is multiplying what you have graciously entrusted to NDI.
