Ridgecrest

Greetings from your friends at NDI! Now that the Labor Day holiday has past and we’re setting our sights on the approaching Fall season, we want to remind you about our Annual Retreat this October. During our time together in the mountains of North Carolina, where the leaves will be at or near their peak colors, we’re going to be discussing the topic of prayer.

“Prayer changes things!” That is a saying that we may have seen and heard many times and maybe even said ourselves. But do we believe it? And if prayer does change things, what exactly does it change? There is a sign in front of a church that says, “Prayer changes your outlook on things, but not things in the prayer.” Does that square up with what the Bible says about prayer?

We are heading to where Jesus often went to pray, up on the mountain, where the air is clear and the distractions are few. We hope you will join us October 23-25 at the Ridgecrest Conference Center near Asheville, NC, where we will study and meditate on what the Word of God says about prayer and how it should change the way we think, what we value, and how we do things.

NDI founder, Dr. J.L. Williams, and NDI partner, Murli Menon, will lead us through the Scriptures and what it says about the different aspects of prayer and the difference it can make in our lives and the lives of others. We will also spend some time in prayer – practicing what we have learned. There will be great food, great fellowship, and a great atmosphere for relaxing and hearing God speak to us.

Don’t wait too long to sign up, though, because our allotment of rooms at the Conference Center is filling up fast. There is still time, just call Ridgecrest at 1.800.588.7222 to reserve your room and place at the retreat (all reservations and money must go through the Lifeway Ridgecrest Conference Center). See you at Ridgecrest on October 23!
